Eloquent Silence

In silence lies the soundless existence of disruptive sentiments.

It’s a void of unspoken words, muted voices and muffled sobs.

It might be just a stolen glance or a hidden stare or that unuttered word left unsaid.

Silence is the conversation of two hearts or that cold shoulder during the night.

It’s those hand signs and written words.

Silence is the distance between two people or it could be the link between two souls.

It’s a hand reaching out or that thought waiting to be heard.

It’s a cry for help and a listening ear.

It’s the sound between two heartbeats.

Silence is a prayer of a troubled mind or the refuge of a confused heart.

Silence is the backbone of strength or the defense of the weak.

In silence lies the truth that bears the downfall of deception.

Silence is a tear, a frown or a smile masked in granite features.

It could be that kiss in the forehead or a touch of a hand or that tight embrace before a goodbye.

It’s the stillness of life and the breathing of a sleeping child.

It’s that unpleasant feeling before one cries or that last breath before one dies.
